Beygir er gefinn út sem opinn hugbúnaður til að styðja við íslenska máltækni,
íslenskt málsamfélag og lifandi notkun íslenskrar tungu í stafrænum kerfum.

Það er í anda verkefnisins að nota, breyta og dreifa hugbúnaðinum til verka sem
styrkja íslensku, bæta aðgengi að máltæknigögnum eða auðvelda fólki og vélum að
vinna með íslenskt mál.

Þessi yfirlýsing er ekki leyfisskilyrði. Hún lýsir tilgangi verkefnisins, en
réttindi til notkunar, breytinga og dreifingar fara eftir Apache License 2.0 í
LICENSE.

Intent

Beygir is released as open software to support Icelandic language technology, the
Icelandic language community, and the living use of Icelandic in digital systems.

Use, modification, and redistribution of this software for work that strengthens
Icelandic, improves access to language technology data, or makes it easier for
people and machines to work with Icelandic are in the spirit of the project.

This statement is not a license condition. It describes the purpose of the
project; rights to use, modify, and distribute the software are governed by the
Apache License 2.0 in LICENSE.
